Building a Healthier Future Together
For more than 27 years, the Downtown Clinic has provided compassionate, high-quality healthcare to uninsured residents of Albany County. Every day, our team helps individuals and families overcome barriers to health through medical care, behavioral health services, prescription assistance, care coordination, and connections to community resources.
Today, the Downtown Clinic Health Hub is becoming a reality, and planning for the construction of the new Health Hub is well underway. While significant progress has been made, philanthropic investment is still needed to complete the facility and ensure it fulfills its promise as a welcoming center for integrated, community-based healthcare.
Just as importantly, the Health Hub will require sustained investment in the people, programs, and partnerships that bring its mission to life. A building creates opportunity; compassionate professionals and innovative programs create lasting impact.

General
-
A free clinic is a community-based healthcare organization that serves people who are uninsured, underinsured, or have limited access to care. Free clinics provide care regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, though some may charge a small or sliding-scale fee. Visit our homepage to learn about our services and eligibility.
-
The Downtown Clinic is a standalone free clinic. While we work closely with other healthcare facilities like Laramie Reproductive Health, Albany County Public Health, Albany Community Health Clinic, and Ivinson Memorial Hospital, the DTC is a separate entity with a separate board of directors, funding streams, and mission.
Vision
-
The Health Hub is Downtown Clinic’s vision for a collaborative healthcare center where medical providers, behavioral health professionals, nonprofit organizations, and community partners work together to improve access to care.
-
The Downtown Clinic has always believed that good health depends on more than medical treatment. Providers take time to understand the challenges affecting a person’s health and connect patients with the resources they need. The Health Hub expands that approach by bringing healthcare providers and community organizations together in one location, making collaboration easier and reducing barriers for patients.
-
The Downtown Clinic has outgrown its current facility. The existing building was adapted over time but was never designed to support today’s healthcare services or future growth.
-
Yes. The Health Hub is designed to encourage collaboration among nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and community partners. Specific partners will continue to evolve as the project develops.
-
Eligible clients will have access to primary medical care, behavioral health services, medication assistance, care coordination, health education, and connections to community resources. As new partners join the Health Hub, services will expand to benefit both clients and the broader community.
